Winner of gold and platinum records, MOGUAI has long established himself as one of
Germany’s most recognisable DJs and producers and a true pioneer in electronic music.
He has gone from the underground raves of the early 1990s to playing at the legendary Love
Parade for an audience of 750,000. In between, he gives around 120 shows a year on top
festival stages. In light of numerous star-studded collabs with stars such as Fatboy Slim,
Sebastian Ingrosso, Tommy Trash, KASKADE, Benny Benassi, Tiësto, Robin Schulz, Cheat
Codes and Oliver Helden, and timeless productions/remixes for Moby, Afrojack, Steve Aoki,
Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson, Underworld, Fischerspooner, DIDO or Beyoncé
Since 2001, he has presented his weekly radio show ‘DJ Session’ on 1LIVE, Europe’s most
popular youth radio station. Residents of the programme include such well-known Artists as
Aka Aka, Alle Farben, Adam Port, Andhim, Claptone, Format:B, Nora En Pure, Purple Disco
Machine, Rampue, Wankelmut. The programme is broadcast in more than 40 countries on
various radio stations.
Since 2010, MOGUAI has been performing regularly in his hometown of Recklinghausen.
More than 15,000 clubbers flock to the town hall square every year to see the exclusive
performance.
In 2002, he released his breakthrough hit, ‘U Know Y,’ on his PUNX label. It has appeared at
number one on the Beatport chart 11 times, with 20 of his productions reaching the top 10 in
parallel. He has released two albums on Deadmau5’s Mau5trap label ‘We Are Lyve’ and
‘Mpire’. He created his biggest hit to date, ‘Mammoth’, with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. The
number won the Beatport Tune Of The Year title and second place among the most popular
tracks of the Tomorrowland festival!
